What Are You Thankful For?

Sponsored by the Yale Alumni Fund

Nearly 300 years ago, Elihu Yale made history when he donated nine bales of goods, some books, and a portrait of King George I to the Connecticut colony’s fledgling collegiate school. By way of thanks, the trustees named the school in his honor.

Today, Yale students can show their appreciation or “Elihu” by sending messages of gratitude to donors on Elihu Day each year. Take a look back at the Elihu Day 2018 festivities in the video above, and watch this space for more information on upcoming events.
